THE BOXROOM is a non-profit making community furniture project set up to address the need for second hand furniture and recycled goods in the ‘throw-away’ society in which we live. Since 1999 THE BOXROOM has been selling furniture and household goods...

THE BOXROOM is also about being environmentally friendly. We directly reduce the amount of waste going to to landfill sites by enabling the re-use or recycling of unwanted furniture and other household goods.

Our environmental ethos doesn’t stop there. Our collection-delivery van is a duel fuel vehicle designed to minimise pollution. As a part of K & D Voice THE BOXROOM has its own environmental policy, which includes using recycled paper and reducing and recycling our own waste.

In 2003 THE BOXROOM won a ‘Green Butterfly’ Award from the Aberdeenshire Environmental Forum in recognition of its efforts in supporting re-use and recycling.

THE K&D VOICE CHARITY SHOP sells an excellent range of clothing and bric-a-brac - and raises money to allow K&D Voice to support our local voluntary sector.

The funds raised in the shop mean that we can continue our valuable work in the community where our focus is on the Kincardine and Deeside area. When you donate or purchase something from our charity shop, you know that you are putting money directly into this area and helping your own community.
